The Big Short (film)
edit- ... that the upcoming film The Big Short is based on a non-fiction book by Michael Lewis?
- ALT1 ... that the film The Big Short is about the Financial crisis of 2007–2010 and the build-up of the housing and credit bubble?
- QPQ: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (season 1)
Moved to mainspace by Captain Assassin! (talk). Self nominated at 17:13, 31 March 2015 (UTC).
- Article is new enough, but far less than 1500 characters. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 19:09, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Also, the hook seems a bit dry and bland, but maybe I'm missing something (I'm not really what you would call a movie buff). --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 19:10, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Article remains too short at 1055 prose characters, and no QPQ has been supplied. However, since the nominator's talk page wasn't pinged, I'm going to do so now. Action will be needed within a week on these issues. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:18, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- Article is expanded and QPQ is given. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 23:53, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- And the hook? What about ALT2: ... that The Big Short is a drama about a crisis? The first two sentences in the lead would have to be cited for that. --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 12:07, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Jakec: ALT2 is good. I've cited the LEAD. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 17:09, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- Proposing ALT3 per Victuallers: ... that The Big Short has made a drama out of a crisis? --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 13:34, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- I prefer the re-wording of alt3 but alt2 is the same meaning. The Main hook is also cited but the phrasing was odd - I fixed it. Alt1 is OK too. QPQ done, length OK, well cited, no image. I think it may be a bit short, so could you add 100 chars at least or find someone with the correct tool to hand .... it doesn't have to be exactly 1500 chars but not a character less please? Victuallers (talk) 14:48, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Article's expanded now. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 17:01, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- See above Victuallers (talk) 21:45, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- I also like ALT3, but the part about it being a drama is not in the source. The source just says "it's not a comedy". Yoninah (talk) 22:57, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I think you don't understand. Victuallers accepted the ALT1 not ALT3. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 02:19, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Can you clarify what you have approved please? Harrias talk 08:28, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

- I'm happy with all the hooks. If this film has actors then IMO its a drama. Surely we don't need a ref for the obvious. The crucial bit is the crisis which is cited. In this context film with fictional plot and drama are close to synonyms. ( I prefer Alt3 but I had a hand in suggesting it but its just a variation on alt2.
