The Last Policeman
edit- ... that Ben H. Winters apologized to Rusty Schweickart in the acknowledgements of his novel The Last Policeman for not heeding a suggestion Schweickart made?
- ALT1:... that the birth of his daughter gave Ben H. Winters the break he needed to rewrite his novel The Last Policeman in the first person?
- ALT2:... that The Last Policeman in Ben H. Winters' novel is trying to solve a murder amid the disruptions caused by a impending asteroid impact?

- for main hook and ALT2. Length and date both check out fine, and spot-checks reveal no evidence of close paraphrasing, copyvio or similar. Inline hooks support the main hook and ALT2, but the prose of the article differs from ALT1: in the article, it says that he changed the tense, and that changing it, along with having a break because of his daughter's birth, "helped him understand the character better."
