Theme and Variations (ballet)
- ... that George Balanchine choreographed the ballet Theme and Variations (pictured) as a tribute to the Imperial Russian ballet style? Source: [1][2]
- Reviewed: Michael Gläser
- Comment: Some of the older New York Times references in the article require a subscription to access; Not sure what should I put in the brackets for pictured.

- Ah nice: an article about ballet and Tchaikovsky. ;) Anyway, "new" enough, expansion began 12/30; long enough at 4,187 characters. I'm fine with the NYT paywall, since the ballet premiered and has been, for the most part, mostly performed in NYC, so it makes sense that a NYC source would publish the most about it. No copyright violations. No problems with close paraphrasing or plagiarism. Hook short but interesting, broad, neutral, and accurate. QPQ done. Side note: I only suspect this, and couldn't confirm it unless I did a deep dive into the sources and did my own research/google search, but I think that this article could be expanded even more, to take it beyond DYK and into GA and possibly even FA territory. For now, good enough for DYK. The pictured just tells us that there's an image. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 03:53, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
