Valerio Spada
edit- ... that after reading Valerio Spada's book Gommorah Girl, inspired by the murder of an Italian girl by the Camorra mafia, its pages begin to appear creased as if they were from an old police report?

- The article is long enough and young enough. The hook is interesting and sourced. However, the article wanders considerably off topic with the 'Gomorrah Girl' section, much more so than I would expect in a biography. Some instances of close paraphrasing exist, and there seems to be an over-reliance on quotations. -- Ohc ¡digame! 14:38, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Cool, I've removed some sections from the quotes but probably not enough. Thanks for reviewing! Jeremy112233 (talk) 16:41, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- I'm still wary about the entire 'Gomorrah Girl' section.
The first and second paragraphs, although you quote Slate, are merely their synopsis of the book and a description of the book's structure respectively, without adding much individuality. The third paragraph fares slightly better, but it is still a description of the physical attributes and presentation of the bound product, albeit with some subjective overtones. I feel that this, particularly the first and second paragraphs, is not an appropriate use of quotations, and you should replace them with your own synopsis and description. I would be looking for quotes used to summarise critical commentary instead.
Perhaps you could bring in more reviews about the book. And if you manage to find some, and because this is a biography, I would suggest ejecting the entire contents of the section into an article about the book. -- Ohc ¡digame! 11:53, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

- Sounds good, as I'm not sure I agree with splitting the article like that, I'll withdraw my DYK self-nom. Jeremy112233 (talk) 16:27, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
