Overall: Great article and fantastic work in expanding it. Well sourced and very informative. Everything is fine. My only quibble is that the ALTs are a bit unwieldy. The first one could be condensed to simply state that Vietnamese is the sixth most spoken language in the US. There were also very interesting details in the article that could be mined for effective ALTs. For example, the issues surrounding "communist terminology" that have entered the Vietnamese language since 1975 and the disdain they arouse from the diaspora community in the US was fascinating to learn about and would make for an enticing ALT.
