ALT1: ... that three new Wildlife Protection Areas have been established in Japan in June, (notice in Tokyo Bay pictured), prior to Ramsar COP11 in July?
- I think the hook(s) could do with some improvement, though it is barely passable like this (not attention-grabbing though). I also have an issue with the image, since they are seemingly unrelated to the main topic of the hook, which I take to be the "three new Wildlife Protection Areas". Perhaps you might want to change the topic of your hook? There is quite a lot of interesting content in the article. Everything else checks out.--Lionratz (talk) 14:35, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks - I've finished the coordinates since you were last there... I guess the main emphases are the wildlife areas in totis, the upcoming Ramsar conference, and how international initiatives such as this help drive local measures... How about: Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 15:25, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
ALT2: that new Wildlife Protection Areas, which include North Iwo Jima, Okinoshima, and Mount Daisen (pictured), have been established in Japan prior to the July Ramsar wetland conference?- The alternate hook sounds much better. However, I think that people may misinterpret it as North Iwo Jima and Okinoshima are the new sites, which is not the case. May I suggest ALT3: ... that three new Wildlife Protection Areas (notification pictured), have been established in Japan prior to the 2012 Ramsar wetland conference, which starts today? I think this hook can be time specific (to draw more eyeballs), and you will just need to cite the opening date of this conference in the article. What do you think?--Lionratz (talk) 01:47, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
- Great, ALT3 sounds good to me - thanks; can this be held then for 6 July per this? Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 12:23, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
