complex track arrangements and connections on a heritage railway that actually caters to railfans should be fairly detailed - at least as detailed as, say, Template:Green Line (CTA) or Template:Tramlink 2 RDT-Mjdestroyerofworlds (talk) 07:15, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Mjdestroyerofworlds:
1. You need to remember that you're writing for a general audience;
2. The article is about the F Market & Wharves – you are including excessive detail that is not relevant;
3. The appropriate place for that information would be {{MUNI Market Street corridor}}. Useddenim (talk) 13:29, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Useddenim:
So is every other RDT...Template:MBTA Orange Line includes the Green line, whch is incompatible, Template:Tramlink 2 RDT includes national rail connections, Template:Piccadilly line RDT includes all lines that cross it, (and even includes stations never built, which I would consider well outside the scope of general audience information, Template:Purple Line (CTA) even shows stations that are only served by the parallel Red line (THAT's excessive, but someone deemed it necessary or relevent). showing other services is the norm and expected for/by general audiences. the point of having a plethora of icons is to accurately depict track geometry and interactions. also, {{MUNI Market Street corridor}} would be truncated at the Market & Embarcadero and woudnlt show a whole line -Mjdestroyerofworlds (talk) 17:22, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
