Proposal to add a second "division" to aid the usage of Template for Local Government

Currently, there is one "division" and "division_type." Adding a second one expand the usability of the Infobox for Local Government or third-level government with a rare forms of government structures. My proposal, as follows:

• If the second division is used, it would become the jurisdiction of the government, and the first division would become the intermediate government/administrative level, such as state, province or territory.
• If the second division is not used, it would be ignored, and the first division would become the jurisdiction of the government.

Alternatively, if we can be more ambitious, instead of two divisions, four divisions, such that:

• Division 4: City/Town/Communes
• Division 3: County/District/Cantons/Department
• Division 2: Metropolitan Area
• Division 1: State/Province/Territory/Oblast/Region
• Country

I recommend using the Divisions, as some of the levels could vary across countries, sometimes even within a country. For instance, some Metropolitan Area may contain more than one State, and some maybe within one State. The generic name "Division" will allow flexibility and allow customization based on hierarchy levels. Considering the Infobox is used for rare form of government, allowing for such flexibility and adaptability would be increase the appropriateness and usability of the infobox across various contexts.

United Kingdom, Canada, Australia & New Zealand

I've noticed that Government of the United Kingdom & Government of New Zealand have one kind of infobox. While Government of Canada & Australian Government have another kind. All four are constitutional monarchies (with the same individual as monarch) & thus all are Westminster governments types. My question is - Shouldn't all four have the same infobox structure? @GoodDay Hi there. I also noticed it myself. But I think it all got clear to me after seeing that in Government, there could be Executive, Legislature, Judiciary, and any other level of government a Government employs. So, this Infobox government is supposed to be for an article that discusses the Government of a country, state, province, district, etc, generally, i.e., talks about all the forms of government the Government employs; while the Infobox executive government should be used on articles that talks about ONLY the executive branch of a government. Concerning "Infobox government" & the Westminster system. Is there a way on the federal level, to replace the terminology 'head of state', 'vice-regal' & 'head of government'? with "monarch", "governor-general", "prime minister"? On the provincial/state etc level, with "monarch", "governor" or "lieutenant governor", "premier"? GoodDay (talk) 03:05, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
