"Then how about you show me. Tell me how this applies to WP:VG, where does it claim anything like that?"
editI don't even understand what that means.
The reason Σ is used is because that actually is the capital letter "Sigma" i.e. it actually makes sense in context. The reason "RE" doesn't work is because you've collapsed the title to something which does not. --IznoRepeat (talk) 00:21, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- I do agree with you and vote for keeping the Σ key. However, if Σ is the capital for the worded Sigma, are R and E not the capitals for the worded "arr" and "eeh"? Both terms are precisely the same thing. Capital letters. Please reply, cheers. --Anddo (talk) 02:03, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sigma isn't the capital, it's the whole word! This is what distinguishes RE from Σ; RE is said "re" or "R-E", which is not whatsoever indicative of the title of that particular game. --IznoRepeat (talk) 22:36, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- But didn't you just say "that actually is the capital letter "Sigma"? I guess you meant it represents the whole word. Regardless, the letter "Σ" isn't in the actual title of the game. If you take a look at this and this box art, you'll see that the icon "Σ" is actually in the background of the art, while the word "Sigma" is what is actually written in the logo. That would mean that "Σ" is how we shorten the word, like how shorten Razor's Edge to "RE". Thoughts? --Anddo (talk) 23:57, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sigma is a Greek letter, written (capital) as Σ. They are the same. RE is not the same as "Razor's Edge". Period. End of story. I'm really struggling to understand your confusion on the point. --IznoRepeat (talk) 00:27, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter. It's not the title of the game. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just saying that if we're gonna be using Σ, RE isn't farfetched either. Neither are in the actual title.--Anddo (talk) 02:20, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- The game is officially copyrighted as Ninja Gaiden Sigma®2. No Σ in sight. It is just located in the background of the cover art. --Anddo (talk) 02:48, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- RE is far more farfetched, actually. Sigma as Σ it can credibly be claimed the same. RE is not a bit whatsoever representative of Razor's Edge. Period. I frankly can't understand where your hangup is. I mean, I don't really care, but now it is worse than before, so I'll be reverting. --IznoRepeat (talk) 23:31, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Ordering
editWhy are the newer games listed first? Practically every navbox I've seen puts the earlier groups first, followed by the later ones. --Jtalledo (talk) 20:35, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
- I put the NES games first, AnddoX just undid the changes to again reflect in-universe chronology, which of course contradicts the manual of style. Would've been nice to at least get a reply first. But whatever. Not edit warring over a dumb navbox for a video game series. Keep your fictional chronology if you like. --Jtalledo (talk) 17:59, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Relax, I only misunderstood the Wiki context. We'll keep the ordering as you suggested, but how about we restructure the whole thing as one group? Main series, I mean. --Anddo (talk) 18:09, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sounds fine as "main series". Sorry if I appeared cross. Cheers. :) --Jtalledo (talk) 18:12, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- It's fine, haha. :) --Anddo (talk) 18:21, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
