Template colors became inconsistent

I need the help of a template expert.
When I added subgroups to this template, the background colors became inconsistent. Before my addition, the background color for the groups was grey only. Now it is grey and mauve. Can this be fixed in an elegant, general way, perhaps via a simple, clean change to the source Template:Military navigation, so it applies to all future military navigation template edits? Or, must the fix be ugly and ad hoc, perhaps applying to this template only? Thank you very much for your help. Jerryobject (talk) 08:11, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Any time a navbox is used in a subgroup, the colours will need to be defined if they are different from the main colours.
