Bignole and removing clearly related articles because of bias and not understanding the point of navboxes
editWould be nice it you quit doing that.★Trekker (talk) 17:06, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
- Fucking annoying idiots who don't know what navboxes are for or how they should be used. "Oh bo ho it's a porno"★Trekker (talk) 17:08, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
- The title of the navbox is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (franchise). The film being added is not part of that. You may want to read WP:NPA at this point. MarnetteD|Talk 17:13, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
Porn Parody Inclusion
editApparently, since people don't like to follow WP:BRD, I'll start this. There is currently a porn parody listed as a related article. It is my contention that this is not a related article. This navbox is for articles directly related to the TCM franchise. It's not an indiscriminate collection of links to everything that might reference TCM or make fun of TCM. Just like any other nav box for film franchises.
For example, see that Template:Batman in film, Template:Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Template:Friday the 13th, Template:Seinfeld, Template:Spider-Man films, Template:Super Mario do not have porn parodies listed in their templates. They all have porn parodies, but they aren't listed in those templates because those templates are for specific purposes (the linking of directly related material). A porn parody isn't related to the franchise...it's a parody. At best, it's a "See also" on any respective film page it is parodying. The TCM (or even the Halloween one) are not appropriate for this navbox because this nav box is for linking articles directly related to the topic for expanded knowledge. - I agree. There have been dozens of James Bond porno films. They are not included in that navbox. MarnetteD|Talk 17:13, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
Categorization
editI'm not sure why there is a push to try to re-categorize the nav links into various production houses, who didn't even produce the films only distributed the films. It isn't even being consistently applied, because you have "Original" and then "Lionsgate" and "Netflix" and then "remake series". The logic doesn't make sense. It seems like a poor excuse to artificially separate the films. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 23:06, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
