Notes
editPlease discuss changes. frummer 09:33, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- absolutely, the one enacting changes should discuss them. :) ITAQALLAH 10:42, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Image
editI've removed it temporarily as it's not scaling correctly. By all means restore it or a replacement if you can get it to look right. (Note: I confirmed with another editor first, and it was garbled in their browser too). --kingboyk 20:19, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- yeah, i don't know why it's doing that.. i'll take a closer look. ITAQALLAH 22:11, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- i uploaded a scaled down version of the image... does that fix it for you? ITAQALLAH 22:36, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that's a million times better, cheers! --kingboyk 23:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Shia task force
editThe Graphics Lab has created this image Image:Ismaili flag.svg which is clearer and scalable. Someone with access into editing this page should change the flag. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 06:03, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Request for addition
edit{{editprotected}}
There is a Mosques task force which should be incorporated into this template. I'm not an admin. so I request that an admin. insert the following
{{#ifeq: {{{Mosques|}}}|yes|/ [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam/Mosques task force|Mosques]] }}
near the start of the template (and any other similar changes in the template). TIA. MP (talk•contribs) 18:29, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- Please put your changes in a sandbox. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 06:23, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

WPBannerMeta
editA version of this banner using {{WPBannerMeta}}
is in the template:WikiProject Islam/sandbox. What do people think about converting to it? (also)Happy‑melon 09:15, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Missing image file

The file Panjetan.jpg associated in this template with the Shi'a Islam task force has been deleted from Commons on 27 April 2009 and again on 20 March 2010, and needs to be replaced.
- Adding: For reference, I believe the image was roughly equivalent to the one linked here. The "similar images" link points to several other versions, but it's unclear whether any of them qualify for free use. Also, the same deleted image had previously used in Template:Shia Islam, but was removed from that template on 22 October 2011. Fat&Happy (talk) 06:16, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
I know these requests are supposed to be complete and specific, but I honestly don't feel qualified to request replacement with a specific image. Some possibilities I found, however, would include:
{Note: If Mirror writing2.jpg appears as dark-on-light turquoise, it may be some error I made in setting up this gallery. It's a Featured Image on en:wikipedia, and can be seen correctly at full size on it's own page.) Fat&Happy (talk) 02:26, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- If Mirror writing2.jpg appears as dark-on-light turquoise, it may mean you should get a better web browser; that only seems to happen in firefox. (I don't think it's because of anything you did, either. And that's my unhelpful comment for the day.) -— Isarra (talk) 06:03, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- Interesting. You're right (I suppose you already knew that...), it works fine in IE8, Opera, and Chrome. Really odd that FireFox seems to have a problem with only that one image (and it started out being fine at sizes above 50px, then went screwy across the board.) Oh well. Thanks though. Fat&Happy (talk) 17:07, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- ETA: Just checked FF help; it's a known issue (the fault of my computer settings or the image itself, of course; forget that all other browsers render correctly), and a simple tweak to about:config seems to correct it. Now to find out what other changes that tweaked setting causes. Thanks for the pointer; unless I happened to be using another browser some time and stumbled across it, I would have never realized it was a browser-specific issue. Fat&Happy (talk) 17:36, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- Not done for now: I suggest starting a discussion at WT:WikiProject Islam to choose an image, since no one seems to have seen this request. Anomie⚔ 14:09, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Jesus work group
editShould we import the Jesus work group code from Template:WikiProject Christianity? That way we could tag Jesus-related Islam articles, which aren't relevant to Christianity, such as Disciples of Jesus in Islam with just this template (see also wt:WikiProject Religion/Unitarian_Universalism_work_group#Christianity_or_Religion_banner.2C_.3F). Add the following code to the template:
|tf 5={{{jesus-work-group|}}} |TF_5_LINK = Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/Jesus work group |TF_5_NAME = Jesus work group |TF_5_IMAGE = Bloch-SermonOnTheMount.jpg |TF_5_QUALITY = yes |tf 5 importance={{{jesus-importance|}}} |TF_5_ASSESSMENT_CAT = Jesus work group articles |TF_5_PORTAL =
Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 05:26, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- Done. I've added the task force, and I also added it to the nested task force links (you didn't include the code for that here). To make things integrate as smoothly as possible with Template:WikiProject Christianity, I also made it possible to use either
|jesus=
or|jesus-work-group=
as the task force parameter, and either|jesus-importance=
or|jesus-work-group-importance=
as the importance parameter. Please remember to update the documentation as well. Thanks — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 16:15, 6 April 2013 (UTC)- Sorry, didn't realize I had left out any code. Could you fix Template:WikiProject Christianity and Template:WikiProject Religion so that the "UnitarianUniversalism" and "unitarian-universalism" parameters will work? - Done I added the above text as
tf 7
underHOOK_TF
due to technical/personal limitations (only 5 taskforces can be added as a main param, and I didn't feel like renumbering those in the HOOK_TF). Primefac (talk) 02:55, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

Crescent and star
editI started a discussion on WikiProject Islam about using the crescent and star symbol and no one objected. Please change the image from the Arabic calligraphy of Shahada to the crescent and star symbol. ☆SuperNinja2☆ 06:20, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
