Template talk:WikiProject Latin America

Other projects

edit

Should the template allow links to projects for Central America, South America or the Caribbean, or some combination? Ruodyssey (talk) 08:19, 4 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Requsted change

edit

Please remove WikiProject Mercosur from the banner that I've made changes myself at the sandbox, which had been deleted due to inactivity since 2010. Also, please add the Bolivia portal for WikiProject Bolivia, and also, please replace File:Waricon.svg with File:Flag of Costa Rica.svg for WikiProject Costa Rica, and enable importance for WikiProject Costa Rica from the sandbox. Thanks. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 09:14, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Done. By the way it is perhaps easier (and makes a cleaner diff) not to renumber the taskforces when you remove one. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:38, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Deprecating Latin American music

edit

As of July 2012, the Latin American music task force became WikiProject Latin music with a scope that includes several artists and music not from Latin America. So I request the "music=yes" to be deprecated to not confuse editors that there two separate projects. Erick (talk) 19:36, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

  •   Question: I found WP:WikiProject Latin music, but what is the other project? If one became the other, then isn't there still only one? How many pages use this parameter before we deprecate it and break those uses? I'll add a maint category and we can find out, and I'm deactivating this request and will be monitoring it. Technical 13 (talk) 21:44, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
    • I should've clarified. I forgot to mention that there are article talk pages that still have both templates for Latin America with the former task force and the Latin music project. At the least, the WikiProject Latin music is no longer a subproject to Latin America as it covers articles outside of the Latin America scope as well. EDIT: Before deprecating it, I need to remove some articles from the Latin music project as they don't fall within the scope. Erick (talk) 21:58, 18 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
All the categories for the WikiProject Latin American music articles have been emptied out now. Erick (talk) 19:54, 23 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, you can see it at Talk:Salsa (sauce) as well. I came here to fix it and cannot. I wonder if anyone watches this page?— alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 16:47, 30 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Costa Rica cat

edit

TF_8_MAIN_CAT = WikiProject Costa Rica articles is wrong - drop the "WikiProject" as Category:WikiProject Costa Rica articles doesn't exist. Only affects Talk:Ceviche at present though. Le Deluge (talk) 18:00, 9 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Agreed,   fixed --Redrose64 (talk) 19:21, 9 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 29 June 2017

edit

For some reason, WikiProjects Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia don't show up in the header when the template is embedded in {{WikiProject banner shell}}. It should be rectified with the code I've put in the sandbox in this revision. 142.160.131.202 (talk) 20:16, 29 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Done Yes, that will fix it: all taskforces in a {{WPBannerMeta/hooks/taskforces}} must also be in a {{WPBannerMeta/hooks/tfnested}}. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 20:59, 29 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
