Quality assessment
editI noticed that unlike other templates this one does not show quality/importance assessments. These assessments seem helpful in identifying pages that need attention. The history for the template suggests it was disabled intentionally in 2012. The reason states "per request" but the linked archive does not turn up a request; or at least I could not find it. Regardless of if a request was made, it's been almost a decade since then. Shouldn't the decision be reconsidered? Scyrme (talk) 20:13, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Chiswick Chap: Don't mean to be a pest, but you seem like someone who might have an interest in this.
- Something does seem to have gone wrong with the statistics; there's certainly no reason for them to be switched off. returns a null table, and the other stats tables are also null. I've put back the "class=" and "importance=" parameters, let's wait a week and see if that fixes the problem.
- It looks as if logging of articles by quality worked (at least partly correctly) until August 2019. At that point Gonzo fan2007 did something, apparently testing a new bot, and a week later the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Yoga articles by quality log lost most of its content. Then on March 25, 2021 a large number of Yoga articles were marked as "removed", though they actually still exist. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:17, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Wait a week? No need, it's sorted. Scyrme (talk) 13:56, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm surprised the bot did it at once, it seems only to run once a week normally. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:34, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- All, you can see a little background here: Wikipedia_talk:Version_1.0_Editorial_Team/Index/Archive_9#Possible_Workaround. Just to be clear, the bot that updates the stats table and log broke and was blocked. The issue was with the log pages, so I protected all the log pages so that the bot could be unblocked and could just update the stats table (since it couldn't update the log pages, it just updated the stats table pages). Hope this helps. « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 16:36, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Many thanks for the info. Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:26, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
