As a Chemist, I am interested in Chemistry but not just Chemistry. If there is something not make sense to me, I am going to find the reason. Keep being curious. My main focus on Wiki is on Chinese, but I am still going to look around the topics in English.
What made me start editing Wikipedia? The fundamental reason was nowadays, people are not presenting things from an objective point of view. I respect different opinions (based on facts), but zero tolerance to biased ideas (one-side view) because of WP:NPOV. I saw people trying to distort the neutrality of Wikipedia pages by arbitrarily deleting contents that are not aligned with their perspective, while threatening those who are trying to restore the neutrality of the WK page. Those people should not be called administrator or common editor, because they themselves are violating the rules of Wikipedia.
I hope one day, things will get better. For now, I am just doing my part: giving you another side of the story, while keeping those that are already presented by those "editors". I just want everyone to have more complete picture of one subject, so that you can make your own judgement.
