This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Falun Gong. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Shen Yun. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 20:53, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, can I add facts that are supported by reliable source? Second: can I delete some things that are not included in the source, or logically wrong? Thanks. Sky-Dream (talk) 05:27, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Binksternet: Hello, I am wondering why you think I added my own point of view? Can you give me the proof to support your accusation? I am using the materials from reliable sources, actually, they are all facts. I have no intent to show my point of view, but I do want to share facts with the people on this planet, including you. Please answer them one by one. Thanks. Sky-Dream (talk) 21:36, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Use of the minor edit button and proper attribution

edit

Please review the policy on use of the minor edit button. Several of the edits that you marked as minor are not minor edits.

Please also be careful to distinguish between news articles, op-eds, and editorials. It is incorrect to use an op-ed published by a paper to say that a paper itself "criticized X or Y," as you mistakenly said in this edit and edit summary. In any case, even if properly attributed, this would be undue weight. Neutralitytalk 16:54, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Shen Yun; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 16:57, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Binksternet:I take your suggestions. Thank you for your information.
Do you mind reminding other editors about it? Because I only did it once (which was just now), but others did it several times. That made me think "once is okay". Also, can you respond to my previous talk? I added some facts that are from reliable sources, but these materials got deleted without discussion ahead of time. That is the beginning of the "edit warring" that you mentioned before. Senior people is a model to the junior people, right?
Again, I take your suggestions. Thanks. Sky-Dream (talk) 17:12, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Looking for help

edit

Hi,

I was looking for some small help. I created an article en:Kithaab -a play about women rights issues- which has been copy edited and is ready for translation in various languages. Looking for your possible help in translating the article en:Kithaab to your language (zh-Chinese language) Wikipedia. If you are unable to spare time yourself then may be you like to refer the same to some other translator.

Thanking you , with warm regards

Bookku (talk) 01:47, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I am going to take a look at it, but it won't be very soon. Sky-Dream (talk) 15:40, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Bookku: Hello, I translated and added the page基塔卜, but I forgot the way to link it to English version. Can you help me doing that? Thanks! Sky-Dream (talk) 04:04, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@老坛陈醋:, Hi,it's really Great. You translated the article in such short time.

Only the thing is instead of Chinese language Wikipedia it got posted on English Wikipedia it self. So before it getting deleted from English Wikipedia I hurriedly posted the same to Chinese language Wikipedia my self and now it can be found at zh:基塔卜 and now it is connected too.

Now the problem is since I directly copy pasted on Chinese Wikipedia it did not carry your user name there on Chinese Wikipedia. Since article is abouth human rights I do not know your privacy preferences and if it is okay for you to display your user name in Chinese Wikipedia history then we will need to request exporting of the history of the article. Please let me know your preference, so I will make effort to request some one in helping out to add history with your user name on Chinese Wikipedia.

Many many thanks again for helping out in translation, best wishes and greetings.

Bookku (talk) 04:52, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Bookku: Hi, I got the notice about speedy deletion(check my talk page), and I don't know what to do about it. For now, please add my name to the history on Chinese Wiki asap. Thanks. Sky-Dream (talk) 21:01, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@老坛陈醋: The task of updating your username in Chinese Wikipedia article history has been successfully completed by admins their. I am very much thankful to you for all the effort you took for translation of the article.

Bookku (talk) 14:10, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

It's my pleasure. Thank you for your effort as well. Sky-Dream (talk) 04:18, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, 基塔卜

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 基塔卜. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Kithaab. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Kithaab. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Passengerpigeon (talk) 06:10, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of 基塔卜

If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

@Largoplazo: Hello, a few days ago, there was a user that asked me to do the translation of Kithaab to Chinese. So I translated that, and I thought I have posted it on the Chinese page. Maybe I mis-clicked something and caused this problem. She then copied my article and posted it on the Chinese Wikipedia page. (please check the discussion on my talk page) I have asked that user to add my name on the history on Chinese Wikipedia, because he/she asked me if I want to do something about it. Now the question is about deleting my version, and add my name on the history of zh:基塔卜. I am okay with deleting my article 基塔卜,because you have mentioned about the same content with zh:基塔卜. I respect that. However, I do want to have some credit on zh:基塔卜. Can you help me with that? Thanks. Sky-Dream (talk) 21:13, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I noticed just about a minute after I'd submitted the article for deletion that the transwiki was going on and realized that the article I'd found on Chinese Wikipedia was the result of that. So I immediately removed the speedy deletion tag realizing that it was going to be taken care of. Largoplazo (talk) 00:31, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Copper(I) cyanide, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page DMF (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:AiFen-doctor.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:AiFen-doctor.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
