Submission declined on 23 October 2024 by DoubleGrazing (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Introduction
- Introduction
The “Patiala Gharana” is one of the most prominent “gharanas” of the classical music of the Subcontinent. It was initially sponsored by the Maharaja of Patiala of Punjab. This Ghrana is distinguished for their renditions in ghazals, thumri, and khayal. This school of music has produced the most famous musicians, many of whom came to be patronized by the Royal family of Patiala.
“Ustad Rustam Fateh Ali Khan” is the son and disciple of “Late Ustad ‘Bade’ Fateh Ali Khan” who was one of the greatest exponents of this art form. Rustam is also carrying the family tradition with pride and eminence. He has received National Acclaim for his renditions of Khayal and Thumri and has represented Pakistan with several Culture delegations to South Asia, Middle East, Far East and Europe.
Rustam Fateh Ali khan is the first classical singer who immensely supports young talent and encourages them to develop interest in traditional arts and culture by providing them with opportunities such as teaching M.A Musicology in Punjab University and working as a selector and music coach in successful reality shows such as ” SA RE GA MA PA” and “Surkshetra ”.

Activities and indulgences
Following the scarcity of institutions and patronage of music in Pakistan Rustam has
Established “Rustam Fateh ali Khan foundation”. The soul aim of the organization is to promote music and the artists who haven’t been able to find opportunities elsewhere. For this purpose “Ustad Fateh ali khan festival” was held in subsequent years of 2018 and 2019. A three day festival in which artists from all over the country irrespective of privilege performed and gathered a lot of praise from the audience.
Rustam music academy is also functioning in parallel. Where students get to learn the meticulous details of North Indian classical music and through the organized festivals and gatherings they also get the opportunity to perform. Alongside these festivals Rustam also performs and participates in other notable festivals such as “All Pakistan Music conference” and “Tehzeeb festival” every year.
Rustam also travels abroad to promote his family tradition of music. From inducting workshops and performances in Punjab university Chandigarh and Punjab university Patiala in year 2012, to performing
and promoting music in Dubai in 2017, Rustam is working tirelessly in interest of the art from he represents.
Through “Rustam Productions” he further plans to invest in musical reality shows, musical theatre and musical movies to be made in Pakistan. A musical movie will set a trend of its own following its uniqueness and unprecedented-ness in Pakistan film history.
