I'm a white South African Boer (White Africans of European ancestry) calling the USA home. I have a passion for all things weird, wonderful and exotic.
Card carrying MENSA member; hence my interests are eclectic and unpredictably subject to change. This may also result in the occasional use of very long words.
In 2002 I received an "MIT Lincoln Laboratory minor planet honour" for some gemmological research I did on Corundum and Spinel synthesis. 11694 Esterhuysen is named for me. I'm also a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and hold an advanced degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing.
