Early life
editErnestine was born into a family of Russian immigrants. She was one of 14 children born to farmer father Johanes Ulmer and mother Margaretha Ridinger Ulmer[2].
Death
editUlmer died on the 29th of July 1987 in Burke, South Dakota. She is buried next to her husband at the Graceland Cemetery in Gregory County, South Dakota[5].
