Working on Wikipedia | Final Exam |
|- !Adoptees must complete all required assignments in order to take the final examination. Waivers may be granted for required lessons if proficiency is demonstrated. |- !If you have a suggestion for a lesson not covered here, please contact Bmusician. |}
“ | I just wanted to say your work with new editors is a breath of fresh air. I've never looked at the program knowing I wouldn't have the ability to produce a structered program. I looked through WheresTristan request for FileMover and found your program and WheresTristan's exam, very impressive. I needed a little "Shot in the arm" thank you for all you do. | ” |

Welcome to the HQ of Bmusician's adoption school, for Bmusician and his adopted users ("adoptees"). Each adoptee will have his or her own official page, which usually consists of assignments and examinations assigned by Bmusician. If you like to study at the school please leave Bmusician a message on his talk page.
Notice to adoptees: The account User:Bmusician (adoption) is used in place of Bmusician's original account for editing in the adoption school to avoid unnecessary excess flooding of the main account's edit count in the user namespace. The account will not be used for any other purpose, and talk page messages regarding adoption will still be sent with the original account.
Notice to vandalism patrollers: This page may contain links to files such as Image:Example.jpg and Media:Example.ogg. I understand that these links are commonly found in test edits, and that they may be removed to reduce the number of false alarms. I ask, however, that you please use caution when doing so on this page! Such files are used here for demonstrative purposes for the benefit of my adoptees. Changing them to files that do not exist is not very helpful. If you do replace a file link with something else, please make sure the replacement works before moving on. Thank you. →Bmusician
How it works
editMy adoption school works in a similar way to a conventional education course. Your adoption page is the Wikipedia equivalent of your exercise book. I will set you a series of assignments—there are 9 required assignments, plus 2 optional assignments. The assignments will start with a list of material to read through; once you have read this, you will take a test on the subject(s) you have just read about. I will review your answers and provide you with feedback. When you have answered all the questions and any follow-up or additional questions, you will move on to the next assignment. If you do not complete a test to a satisfactory standard, you may have to answer follow-up/additional questions. Once you have completed all required assignments, you will take a final examination to graduate from the adoption school. If you pass the exam, I'll give you your graduation barnstar; failing the exam will result in a longer adoption period.
New adoptees
editAny user is welcome to study at my adoption school! The only requirement, however, is that a user must be autoconfirmed, unless their account is a clean start account. Don't hesistate to contact me if you'd like to study!
Recognition
editMy school has received outstanding recognition by a number of editors on Wikipedia, even my adoptees - thank you!
