The Lakeland Fells

edit

Although I live some distance away I take any opportunity to go fellwalking in the English Lake District. I am, apparently, obsessed. I find it difficult to see this as a negative characteristic- more a means of providing respite care for my family. I've completed Wainwright, Birkett, and my own list of- in effect- 1,000 ft nuttalls . 617 of them altogether. I'm now getting on with a second round of Wainwrights, which, in the true spirit of obsessive behaviour, has to include at least one direct ascent of each fell.

Surprising how much it means to receive virtual medals from people I've never met. Thank you
