Original series (2007–14)
editTotal Drama is a Canadian animated comedy series created by Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis. The series, which premiered on Teletoon in Canada, follows host Chris McLean (Christian Potenza), chef and co-host Chef Hatchet (Clé Bennett), and the various contestants of the reality competition series of the same name. The series ran for five seasons prior to it's cancelation, airing it's final episode on November 20, 2014.
Season 1: Island (2007–08)
editThe first season, titled Total Drama Island, sees twenty-two contestants (Beth, Bridgette, Cody, Courtney, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Gwen, Harold, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Katie, Leshawna, Lindsay, Noah, Owen, Sadie, Trent, and Tyler) arrive at Camp Wawanakwa, a rundown summer camp on an island. The contestants are split into two teams (the Killer Bass and Screaming Gophers) and compete in summer camp themed challenges, with the losing team voting someone out of the game. About halfway, the teams are merged, with the last contestant remaining winning C$100,000.

Season 2: Action (2009–10)
editThe second season, now titled Total Drama Action, sees the fourteen contestants (Beth, Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Geoff, Gwen, Harold, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, and Trent) who tied in the previous season's special arrive at an abandoned film lot to compete for C$1,000,000. Similar to the first season, contestants are split into two teams for the first duration of the competition (the Killer Grips and Screaming Gaffers) to compete in challenges, now each based on a different movie genre. A fifteenth contestant, Courtney, would later return halfway through following her wrongful elimination in the previous season.
The season also introduced Total Drama Action Aftermath, a talkshow run by Bridgette and Geoff where they interview the eliminated contestants.
