AdventHealth Winter Haven is a non-profit hospital campus under construction in Winter Haven, Florida, United States for AdventHealth.
History
editIn 2022, AdventHealth purchased 42-acres in Winter Haven, Florida for a medical campus that will be constructed in two phases. A 20,000-square-foot emergency department with 20 private patient rooms and a helipad will be part of phase one, while a four-story hospital with 192 beds will be part of phase two. Also to be included in phase two will be medical office buildings.[1][2] Legoland Florida is only 2.5 miles away from the AdventHealth campus.[2][3]
On June 7, 2023, AdventHealth had a groundbreaking ceremony for AdventHealth Winter Haven ER.[2][4] On October 23, there was a topping out ceremony for the emergency department.[5][6] On May 20, 2024, construction workers from Robins & Morton finished building AdventHealth Winter Haven ER.[7] On May 29, the $37 million AdventHealth Winter Haven ER officially opened to patients, with one of its patient rooms having a legoland theme.[8]
