Menemen massacre

edit

Hi, I found out you created that article so I want to give you the chance to provide some reliable sources as per WP:RS for the information therein. A propagandist website like SAM doesn't really cut it nor would the opinion of military men be relevant in categorizing the events as massacres in any case. If academic quotes are not forthcoming it will be nominated for deletion. More so since the google search of "menemen massacre" only yields hits from WP so it doesn't pass the notability criteria either. Btw since you are a Turkish-Cretan which part of Create are you from and do you speak any Rhomaic at all? Xenovatis (talk) 10:05, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I saw your edit on this article and thought you might like to contribute to this discussion.

Katharine Elizabeth Dopp

edit

Thank you for your comment. I look at the Wisconsin Historical Society website and so far I have not found anything about Katharine Elizabeth Dopp. I did change one of the categories to people from Portage County, Wisconsin from people from Wisconsin. Thank you-RFD (talk) 11:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

I look at the Portage County, Wisconsin Historical Society website and made some changes: Katharine Elizabeth Dopp was born in the Town of Belmont in Portage County, Wisconsin. This gets confusing in that you have the village of Belmont in Lafayette County, Wisconsin. I track down the Dopp Family Cemetery also in the Town of Belmont in Portage County, Wisconsin. I added the town website to the Town of Belmont website. Also the Marathon County Historical Society had 3 references to the Dopp Family. I hope this helps. Thank you-RFD (talk) 20:44, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Some small problems on List of largest flags

edit

Hi Cretan, some anonymous user has been giving me a hard time on List of largest flags, making a lot of nationalist comments. Could you, if you have the time, look it up and help me out? I feel drowned!! --Eae1983 (talk) 21:35, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Fodulaki Mustafa Efe

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Fodulaki Mustafa Efe, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --VS talk 12:30, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Bonjour, Cretanforever! Thanks for asking. Olympus (disambiguation) is a disambiguation page, which has quite strict rules on layout and style (see WP:MOSDAB and WP:DAB). List of peaks named Olympus is a set index article, which is, as you guessed, a specific page for WP:WikiProject Mountains, and has its own style.

I would recommend keeping these separate: members of WP:WikiProject Disambiguation are quite strict about deviations from the style rules, and would probably revert any merge, possibly losing some information.

In fact, you may wish to update List of peaks named Olympus to reflect all of the peaks in the disambiguation page, except perhaps for the most famous one or two. hike395 (talk) 19:33, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Request to move article Office of Fair Trading incomplete

edit

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page Office of Fair Trading to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 18:04, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi... you made some contributions to this article in August of 2007 and March of 2008. I thought you should be aware that an editor has reverted the entire article to the state it was in more than a year ago. He removed information about the park and is trying to use the article as a sandbox for him to make an argument about an origin of a myth instead of focusing on the current situation and following WP:NPOV policy. Judging by his previous edit history I don;t expect him to give up anytime soon, and a couple of other editors have showed up out of nowhere to support him (talking like they've editing it the whole time despite the fact that they haven't, which is very suspicious). If you care about your edits, the photos, and the content of the article, you might consider watching the page and weighing in on the discussion. DreamGuy (talk) 22:06, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
