I was a tenured Full Professor in the Physics Department at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada, until 2009.
My research areas have included: condensed matter physics, statistical physics, environmental science, materials science, magnetism, Invar physics, meteorites, instrumental measurement methods, diffraction, spectroscopy, sediment diagenesis, climate change, and the interactions between science and society.
My main research areas since 2009 have included: environmental science, radiation balance physics for Earth, health and medicine, social theory, and domestic and international law of freedom of expression.
