The 1997 Rugby League Ireland (RLI) season was the very first Rugby league league competition on the Island of Ireland . The season saw one of Ireland's oldest clubs the Dublin Blues win what was called the All-Ireland Rugby League Championship. They beat Tallaght Tigers in the final.
