Characters
editScott Bukowski was born on July 10, 1951 in New York, USA. Scott was primarily detached from his parents and visited his grandparents more often. Scott would usually flunk out of school with no primary interest in education. As he grew older, he became more and more detached from his own parents, taking a toll on his mental stability. Soon after, his grandparents had passed and he had nowhere to live. In 1971, he was approached by a man who offered him a top-secret job. He said that it was "government-level". Scott officially enters the NETO on July 14, 1970. His first target was Hans Müller, a former German official who had very close associations with former NETO.
Scott Bukowski's associate, Marcus Anderson, is a 23-year-old from Nashville. He works in the same field as Scott and helps him with his job. He is an energetic and confident individual, distinguishing from Scott himself. His favourite weapon is the Colt Python and the MP5K.
Another prominent character (and antagonist) is Alexei Nazarov, a 58-year-old Russian turned American citizen. He was part of the USSR Red Army until he was able to migrate to Germany with another group of friends. He created a secret operations military called the NETO, which stands for National Elimination and Transparency Organization.
Story
edit"I was dragged into a dark life without knowing the true consequences of that dark life. I was dragged into a life that I thought would fulfill my dreams, but it only shot them away. I made my own nightmare." - Scott Bukowski, circa 1981.
Operation Sunset begins in the outskirts of Birmingham, England in 1981. This is Scott Bukowski's presumed final mission and covert operation. Their target is William R. Buckspot in the Riverside Inn. hotel. As they are driving to their safehouse, Marcus asks Scott if he still had his VHS player. Then, he promptly asked Scott if he could take a peek in it and fix it for him.
When they arrive at the safehouse, they plan their operation thoroughly and rehearse the steps. The player can choose between 3 approaches: Two stealth options and one loud. For the stealth options, Scott and Marcus reach to their destination, Riverside Inn. and kill their target either silently or in disguise as he's killed in public. One of the approaches requires Scott to kill his target, William Buckspot, inside his room. The other option is blowing up the podium he would give his final speech on with a C4. The final option, the loud option, would be to barge into the hotel guns-blazing, killing senselessly anyone infront of them, mostly guards.
After killing Buckspot stealthy, they exit the hotel and head to New York again. They receive their payments and Scott says goodbye.
Scott has entered retirement by this time, and soon after in 1984 he gets a call from an anonymous source. It's Marcus, and he needs to investigate a case with Scott because of NETO. He believes that NETO has a past of fraud and needs Scott to help him investigate.
