Rana Gharami is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Mohun Bagan A.C. in the I-League.
Career
editA resident of Garalgacha, he joined a local football coaching camp where he brushed up his skills at an early age. He later joined Uttarpara Netaji Brigade Camp.
Gharami joined Calcutta Premier Division Club Peerless in 2010, moving to Super Division side Railway FC the next season. In 2012-13 season, he played in Kalighat MS, another Premier Division Club.
He was part of the U-21 West Bengal football team that won the Gold Medal in the National Games under the coaching of Sankar Moitra. [[He has also played for the Senior West Bengal football team in Santosh Trophy under Shabbir Ali and also participated in the All India University Tournament.[1]
Personal Life
editGharami is a big fan of John Terry and Deepak Mondal, he considers Syed Nabi to be his idol. Rana's favourite International club and country are Chelsea F.C. and Brazil national football team respectively.
