I am an AFDCS Life Member (also APS, APRL, APS-WU#30 member, and others) interested in U.S. First Day Covers, WW II Patriotics, and Poster Stamps, and anything philatelicly related to the U.S. Virgin Islands. I search Wikipedia for pages about specific stamp collectors and First Day Cachetmakers that I include on my website, "https://www.folklib.net/fdc" (since 10/2019) called the "Cachet Display Catalog", and I have installed many! links to those pages. I do not know how to create a new Wikipedia page from scratch and, at almost 83, that is a new skill I don't care to take the time to learn. My editing is mainly making minor corrections needed on Philatelic pages and adding Wiki links "[[..]]" for Collectors and Organizations that are not clickable and I know they have a Wikipedia page. Not all Collector pages list every award they have won, so I am working on a page Indexing books with Collector biographies and linking to all Award and any other biography pages I can find on the Web about them. Possibly this page can be used as a Resource for others updating or creating new Collector pages - https://www.folklib.net/fdc/birthdays2.shtml - Many Collectors and dealers on this page do not have a Wikipedia page yet.
1-20-2023: Somebody responded to my above post, but it was in German. It was a Welcome message of some kind but I can only read English. I clicked on this User page to see if the message also appeared here, but it didn't. When I tried to look at the message again, it was gone, and I didn't know how to read it again or reply to it. Whoever sent me the message, please respond in English. Thank you.
Other than clicking on "Thank" in a revert, I really don't know how to respond to any posting on Wikipedia. I can't figure it out. Please do not be upset with me if you send me a message within Wikipedia and expect a reply. I don't know how to. Does this disqualify me from continuing to be an Editor? I will stop all editing until I receive an email reply. - henkle@pobox.com
2-12-2024: As much as I have tried, I have failed at all attempts to contact anyone at Wikipedia for editing assistance with anything or for any questions I might have. I have not figured out how to do that. I know I make mistakes, but with no feedback from anyone I do not know how to prevent making the same mistakes again. I restarted editing. I hope I don't make too many mistakes in the future.
