Documenting Nadia District Heritage is a photo scavenger hunt cum new article creation event, will be held in the various important places of Nadia District, West Bengal, India. We have decided to logically devided the district into four circuits/zones as Kalyani Circuit, Shantipur Circuit, Nabadwip Circuit and Krishnanagar Circuit, and accordingly we have planned to photograph the district in four phases. This time, for Phaze I, our plan is to photograph the heritages of Krishnanagar Circuit, according to our plan Phaze I will consists of three days photo-walk tour.
We have already done with Phaze I, Day One event and remaining photo-walk event dates will be announced according to our convenience. The heritage walk would be started at 6:00 AM till sunset and assembly point for each day would be different. The main purpose of this photo walks event is to photograph lesser known places or known heritages of Nadia District, West Bengal, India which photos are not available or available in Wikimedia Commons, geotagging the monuments, and create new article with the photographs. Also keep in mind to enrich the present articles with the latest photographs. Anyone can participate in this event but must have 500+ edits in Wikimedia Commons and 250+ edits as a texts in any Wikipedia project. We are concentrating on increasing the conversion rate of only relevant photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons so that photos can be used in existing Wikipedia articles which need pictures, also the possibility of creating new articles from the photos as many important monuments has no photos in Wikimedia Commons earlier.
