Hundreds were killed and thousands injured.
Background
editIn January 1990, Aoun launched an attack on the Lebanese forces in East Beirut, killing more than 1,000 people over the following months. In March, Aoun announced a cessation of hostilities and stated his readiness to agree to the Taif Agreement, provided that some amendments were made to it.
Where violent clashes took place between the two parties, which was the beginning of what was called (the war of cancellation); After Geagea accused Aoun of trying to abolish the Lebanese Forces.
