EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
editLaxmi Rana was born on 1965 in Mumbai to Jaspal singh Rana (basically from Village Pala Kurali, Post office Devi Dhar Mamni, Tehsil -Jakholi, District Rudraprayag Uttarakhand ) . She studied at Mumbai and later attended the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University where she completed masters and an advanced postgraduate degree from Law.[1]
Political career
editRana began her political career from winning Block Pramukh Jakholi Rudraprayag in 1996. she was the Director of Uttarakhand Organic Board.[1]
She was the former zila panchayat adhyaksh form Rudraprayag . she nominated from Rudraprayag for MLA ticket from Indian National Congress in 2017 but she lost from 4000 votes against BJP MLA Bharat Chaudhary. currently she is the State general secretary from Indian National Congress Uttarakhand. [2]
