History
editThe First Division
editCreated in July, 2009, Jay Parrott was the first Mafworks division, made as a more direct way to make entertainment. Labelled as Jay Parrott: The Book Division, Jay Parrott's first writing was the relatively popular Gladiators Trilogy(July 13th, 16th, and 18th). After writing a full trilogy of books, Mafworks went into Poetry and Literature, however all of it was over shadowed. The Gladiators quickly got a sequel after it's popularity, the sequel was titled the Journey of Faith Trilogy in August, 2009 becoming a very popular series. In December 2009, Jay Parrott had released about 20 or 30 books(about 10% of the current amount), along with several editions of current books.
2010-2014
editReleasing new editions and new books, Jay Parrott was following the other divisions success in 2010, which made the year go by very smoothly, with releases of books such as The Forgotten Tales of Johnson Monroe and The Salty River, 2010 lead strongly into 2011. The very special year of 2011 brought in a new era of Jay Parrott, they published their first Manga titled In Every Way. Jay Parrott's success carried on until 2013, no new books were released at all that year, the division had written 300+ books, there was hardly an idea left, however, Manga's became a way for Jay Parrott to stay a float. The only books released by Jay Parrott since 2012 were Criminal Activity(Novel), Alpha: Beginning and the Beta Trilogy in 2014. By the end of 2014 Jay Parrott removed all of their books, literature, manga's, and poetry from the media due to the Mafworks reboot.
After The Reboot
editCurrently Jay Parrott has only released a few books and absolutely no poetry, or literature. Some released books since 2015 have been Beyond Steamworld and Lone Wolf(Book). Jay Parrott however has plans for the future, such as releasing their new manga A Fairy Tall Tale this June and re-publishing some of their older books and literature.
