Well known for her work on equine articles and the fauna and numerous varied subjects of the "Big Sky" region of the US. Worthy, competent, deserving of acclaim, special, level-headed, pleasant. Her value to WP is immense.
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week in recognition of your improvement of many articles. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)
I am pleased to nominate Montanabw. Nearing 100,000 edits in her 11+ years of editing at Wikipedia she is well known for her work on equine articles. It should be noted that she has also improved articles for other fauna and numerous and varied subjects from the "Big Sky" region of the US. I especially enjoy when she turns her attentions to establishments like Dude Rancher Lodge. Worthy, competent, deserving of acclaim, special, level-headed and pleasant are compliments used to describe her by those seconding her nomination. Her value to Wikipedia is immense and IMO justifies consideration for an EotW award.
Thanks again for your efforts! Lepricavark (talk) 17:34, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
Hey, Montanabw, I love your excellent writing skills. Your FAs and GAs are inspiring. Just want you to know how much they are appreciated by the wiki community. Rosiestep (talk) 18:46, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
For montanabw primarily for being an outstanding mentor since the first day I started editing. Patient, encouraging, smart, knows where to push. Without her welcome and guidance, my journey into Wikipedia would have been very different. The Wikipedia community is very lucky to have this woman. Dawnleelynn (talk) 04:46, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

For maintaining the clarity, intelligence and thoughtfulness of your comments even in the present environment of your RfA. Very refreshing and informative. Littleolive oil (talk) 03:40, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
It's a small point, on an (as yet) short discussion, but it's the nuance of looking for a reasonable middle-ground solution (which includes compromise for both the varied perspectives of editors and multiple needs of the article) which makes this posting for me an excellent exemplar of how the project can be bettered, one comment at a time. Were I a little less tired, I would search through your contributions and I trust find further such activities to predicate this message and barnstar on, but I'll let the one suffice for now. :) Snowlet's rap 10:57, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

I hereby award this barnstar to editor Montanabw for her outstanding article building work, and for her valour in defending other folks work from destruction at AfD. Ruskin: "The greatest thing a human soul ever does in this world is to see something and tell what it saw in a plain way. Hundreds of people can talk for one who can think, but thousands can think for one who can see. To see clearly is poetry, prophecy and religion, all in one." Hey Montanabw, just a quick barnstar to say thanks for the reviews of Boat Race articles you've conducted over the past year. As of this morning, I completed my (initial) goal of ensuing that every Boat Race had, not only its own article, but one that was either of GA or FA status: we now have 158 GAs and 3 FAs that we can all be proud of! It doesn't stop here, for me at least, I'm going to keep up with improving the quality of the GAs and look for more FA opportunities. Plus, there's the small matter of 70 Women's Boat Race articles to get up and running! But thanks again, I couldn't have done it without your help. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:44, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
