Bimal Subedi is undoubtedly one of the most prominent theater artist, director and teacher in Nepal at present.[1][2] He is the only person from Nepal who got chances to specialized in Theater Techniques, Design and Direction from National School of Drama(NSD), New Delhi, India.

He has worked with many eminent directors and designers from around the world and produced a number of critically acclaimed plays which create buzz in international canvas. His plays staged in many prestigious international theater festival like Southbank Centre, London: Bharat Rang Mahotsav, NSD, India,[3][4] Karachi, Pakistan,[5][6] Internaional theatre festival, Beijing, China Belgium, Germany[7] and other different states of India. He has done collaborative project with Shakespeare’s Globe Theater Company London, in Hamlet.[8][9] He is the designer and coordinator of World Theater Forum from 2015, New Delhi, India. He was honored with OTG International theater Award-2016.

He did short term film making course from SRFTII and also worked with FTII, India. He works with National Theater School China, Beijing. National School of Drama (NSD), Maradokmai Community Theater Thailand & National State Film and Television Institute of Rohtak, India. Oscar International Film college, Kathmandu. Mr. Subedi just completed his one year fellowship from German, researched on different kind of theater managerial practice and contemporary performance making process. He is working as a casting director in India and Nepal. He is Artistic Director and founder of Theater Village.[10] He is the director of the plays like Charumati by Satya Mohan Joshi, Yerma ,[11][12] by FadriAako Garcia lokrka. Night with Mao,by Robert Lin, Sandaju KO Mahabharata by abhi subedi [13], Makai Ko Arkai Kheti By Sanjeev Upreti based on the book Makaiko Kheti [14], Princess of the garden an adaptation of the play Malani by Rabindranath Tagore.He is currently directing and acting on the play Palpasa Cafe, based on a novel Palpasa cafe written by Narayan Wagle, the best selling book from Nepal. [15][16]
