I have created this page primarily to use the talk page to discuss with the group of editors from PSCI 307 rather than trying to create an individual dialog with each one.
Useful pages
edit- Wikipedia:Help Desk-The Help Desk is a place you can go for any problems you have editing Wikipedia to get advice or answers from other editors. This can range from questions regarding how to upload an image, requesting help for problems with a template, or whether a page is notable or not.
- Wikipedia:Notability-This is Wikipedia's notability rules. It is good to take a look at this before creating any pages.
- Wikipedia:Verifiability-This is one of Wikipedia's core policies. Everything added to Wikipedia should be verified by reliable secondary sources. It must be sourced if it is challenged.
- Wikipedia:Five pillars-This page gives the five pillars of Wikipedia namely: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia (and therefore not anything else), Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view, Wikipedia is free content, Editors should remain civil, and all rules on Wikipedia can be broken if it benefits the encyclopedia.
Notability of PSCI 307
editAfter reviewing Wikipedia's notability requirements, it should be fairly obvious that the class would not meet the notability requirements of Wikipedia. That being said, some of the topics involved in the class could be notable enough for a page or as an addition to a current page. This is the first thing I would like to discuss on the talk page. Remember that anything you add to a page using knowledge from the class must be verified by a reliable source.
