Rea & Derick, Inc. was a pharmacy chain store based primarily in central Pennsylvania. It was formed in 1920 by two enterprising pharmacists, Scott Rea and George Derick, and sold to American Stores then acquired by Peoples Drug in 1985.
History
editTwo enterprising pharmacists, Scott C. Rea and George C. Derick, Sr., purchased and opened their first store on July 2, 1920 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. In 1928, the company was incorporated with Rea as president, Derick as vice president, Dr. George A. Deitrick as treasurer, and Lewis R. Wolf as secretary.
