Scott A Neal (Saneal) is an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America; he was a member of the Order of the Arrow (Brotherhood) and participated in the World Scout Jamboree in Australia in 1987/1988. Some of the highlights of Scott Neal's Scouting career were 1) among approx. 19,000 people and thousands of Boy Scouts that attended the anniversary event of the Diamond Jubilee Explorer and Scout Fair at the Anaheim Stadium parking lot Saturday, November 23, 1985[1]; 2) planting trees at the Astronauts' Grove living memorial dedicated at Country Hills, Brea, Orange County, California on Monday, April 7, 1986 in memory of the Challenger crew members who gave their lives to further the space program in the United States. Some of the participants were Brea Rotary President Greg Davies and former Brea Mayor Clarice Blamer[2]; and 3) serving as member of the color guard at the official dedication of the Nixon library and birthplace of former President Nixon on July 19, 1990. Other distinguished people that were present were the First Lady Pat Nixon, President George H. W. Bush, then the President of the United States, former President Gerald Ford, former President Ronald Reagan, and first ladies Barbara Bush, Betty Ford, and Nancy Reagan. Moreover, there was an approximate crowd of 50,000 people gathered for the ceremony.[3]
