Water Music Publishing is a music publishing, management and production company founded by Michael Cameron^[1] , Troy Patterson ^[2] and Bobby “Hustle” Stewart. The company was founded in 2004 and works with distributors such as: EMI Publishing UK, ASCAP, Stellar Songs LTD and Thump Records/ Universal Music Group.

History

Water Music Publishing was created with the idea of capitalizing on the shift of power from the large-scale record labels to independents and emerging powerhouses in entertainment media. With more than 20 years in the music industry, the founders utilize an extensive background in music publishing, management, production, and marketing to encompass the needs of the artists they represent: songwriters, musical artists, DJ’s, producers, and engineers.^[3] ^[4]

Water Music Publishing serves as a parent company to Rich Water Publishing, which created a joint venture with Stellar Songs LTD (Stargate Publishing company), in 2006. The Rich Water Publishing subsequently signed such musical talents as three time Grammy nominated and ASCAP Writer of the Year 2008, singer/ songwriter, Phillip “TaJ” Jackson ^[5] and noted singer/songwriter, Autumn Rowe.

Water Music’s first producer signed was Sean Maxvel. ^[6] Meanwhile, the management division signed the Philly Phatboi (John Legend’s production company) in November of 2010. ^[7]
