Re: Sulpicia, wife of Lucius Scribonius Libo
editHello - so I've had to do a lot of digging, as it's been over 10 years since I created the article. There is a 19th century commentary on Tacitus where this is mentioned - [1] - the entry for Marcus Scribonius Libo Drusus, stating that Drusus's grandmother was a Sulpicia. The only candidate where this is possible is the wife of Lucius Scribonius Libo. Certainly Tacitus explicitly states that Drusus's close relative (propinquo suo) was Publius Sulpicius Quirinius - see [2] - Annals 2:30. It may be that this is link to the grandmother is now obsolete, or perhaps completely incorrect at the time. Happy for you to include this link, or remove the statement altogether, as you see fit. - Actually, there is a simpler reason why that statement is present. It already existed on the parent Lucius Scribonius Libo page prior to November 2011 when I created the new article for the consul of 34, as can be seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lucius_Scribonius_Libo&oldid=430813310. So the statement does not come from me directly. Nevertheless, the statement in Tacitus does show there is some familial relationship between the Scribonia and Sulpicia families, but not enough to conclude that Libo's wife was a Sulpicia.
