@GRuban: I am working towards getting the rights released in OTRS. Once I have that sorted I will put the image in. OTRS of course does not have editorial priority but I kindly ask for a little more time. -- A Certain White Catchi? 19:01, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
You're trading emails with Sharon Carpenter, or her agent, and she/they wants to release an image but is having trouble crossing the ts and dotting the is? Or something else? --GRuban (talk) 20:29, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
@GRuban: Something like that. You can appreciate why I cannot detail my response here. OTRS tickets aren't always straightforward despite the efforts of both sides. -- A Certain White Catchi? 11:56, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
@GRuban: I cannot in any way prevent you from re-inserting the file. As I stated OTRS does not have editorial priority. Mind that the other party in OTRS specifically asked to remove the file. I will send them another email reflecting this discussion. I am hopeful that the issue will be resolved soon. -- A Certain White Catchi? 21:00, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
Sure, but it's not an issue of physically preventing me, it's more in the nature of a consultation. I would completely prefer an equally good image that the article subject also likes; but I think the image we have is far better than nothing, so if you think negotiations have stalled, I'd like to put it back. But if you think there is a reasonable chance of getting one in the near future, I can give it more time. (I admit, I've done this "please release an image to replace one you don't like" dance myself. It took years.) --GRuban (talk) 23:05, 11 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
@GRuban: Thank you for your understanding. It is always uncomfortable for me to do the dance in this manner. There is willingness mind you but it is moving slowly. I have not been rejected either. I am trying not to push too hard and get everything regards to licensing correct so that issue is closed and not challenged in the future. -- A Certain White Catchi? 14:54, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello とある白い猫,
Another CheckUser brought something to my attention that we find to be rather puzzling. Why did you create an account with an abusive username? Oshwah is perfectly capable of handling troll accounts himself, so I'm at a loss to come up with an explanation for your action. Cheers —DoRD (talk) 21:31, 11 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I scrolled back to that conversation, but I have to disagree that such accounts are regularly created to prevent impersonation. I don't know how things work elsewhere, but that is not a practice here, particularly with abusive account names. —DoRD (talk) 23:44, 11 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
@DoRD: It is something we did regularly on this wiki in the past. Since creator and creation reason is well known, it isn't much of an issue. I did notice the confusion afterwards so this isn't something I will do regularly. -- A Certain White Catchi? 12:26, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
It was done with similar names, e.g. Oshwha, but the software should prevent that now. I don't recall it ever being done with abusive names, so please let that one be the last. Thanks. —DoRD (talk) 15:25, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
@DoRD: I do not agree with that, creating usernames to prevent trolls from creating them isn't banned. If anything the software should not have allowed it. I did not expect to be successful to be honest. That is the bigger issue here. -- A Certain White Catchi? 18:57, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
@DoRD:@Bbb23: You cannot quite pull rank on me though I imagine your intention was not to intimidate. As I stated earlier, I am aware of the confusion my action has caused. If it wasn't self evident, I am not happy with how issues developed. It is not like I habitually create such accounts. -- A Certain White Catchi? 21:07, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean by pulling rank, and I don't see any attempt at intimidation. We're just trying to make sure that this doesn't happen in the future. Even Oshwah agrees that it's a bad idea, and another admin pointed out in that IRC discussion that this does run afoul of the username policy. —DoRD (talk) 21:20, 13 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
