edit

  Hello, I'm GorillaWarfare. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Juche—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. I consider being respectful instead of disrespectful to the people of another nation very constructive. 104.224.117.225 (talk) 00:56, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
there is no north and South Korea anymore than there is a west and east Congo. The people of the Koreas do NOT call themselves north and South Korea and either does anyone with respect for them. eventually someone with authority will make a decision regarding this disagreement we have and until then we will continuously change it back and forth like children...sad 104.224.117.225 (talk) 01:01, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Seawolf35 (talk) 00:56, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

what is your opinion on the topic I am being battled against in this 'edit war'? 104.224.117.225 (talk) 01:05, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Juche. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 01:16, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm not disruptive. I made an important and valuable change a while back that has been constantly reverted with no explanation whatsoever other than North Korea being the common name. That doesn't make it any less offensive to Koreans or help educate people that come to this page. 104.224.117.225 (talk) 01:23, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as done at Juche.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 01:28, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
When your block expires, you're welcome to start a discussion at Talk:Juche as several of us have instructed. However, this is far from the first time the subject of naming has come up with respect to North Korea/DPRK, so I would recommend reviewing some of the established consensus in discussions listed at the top of Talk:North Korea before embarking on a discussion that's liable to retread old territory. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 01:31, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'll back in 24 hours and never go away. You refuse to discuss and seek consensus not me. I will take this further until I have the power to block you ;) 104.224.117.225 (talk) 01:33, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, threatening to block an administrator and being the pot that calls the kettle black doesn't exactly indicate good faith on your part. WP:COMMONNAME is the site policy you are choosing to ignore; you will not get your proposed changes through by whining and threatening established users. Yue🌙 02:40, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
