Edit warring on Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Manticore 01:03, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dude, i don't know what is your problem nor what is the problem of the others users, i only wrote something that it is true, a fact, i even put the sources, but you are the ones who write the things you think that are right. I collaborate, but the problem is that everything for you and the other users is "vandalism" or "disruptive editing". 190.21.177.84 (talk) 01:18, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't have a problem. Collaboration does not mean continuing to add something to an article over the objections of editors. You should use the article talk page to discuss the issue. — Manticore 01:25, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your edit summaries are deceptive. Despite many warnings to your Chile-based dynamic IPs over many months, and blocks, you keep sneaking in major changes to the film's billing block credits, and removing the HTML note that warns against making changes. So quit doing this now, and pleading innocence, please. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 08:51, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
As for your claim that "It is completely official that the series is cancelled", the Pink News citation draws on Variety which was actually headlined "Is J.K. Rowling’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Franchise Dead at Warner Bros?" (a question, not proof of cancellation, as yet). It reads in part: "Given the lackluster reception to the three movies in existence, it may not be surprising that Warner Bros. has yet to definitively say whether the fourth and fifth “Fantastic Beasts” films will be completed as intended." Other editors have repeatedly reverted your changes because we are still awaiting confirmation. Thanks. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 09:25, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Deceptive edit summary while again changing billing block credits, again changing reference titles/headlines. This has been going on for months, using many Chile-based dynamic IPs, despite many warnings and some blocks. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 20:52, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
The page is now protected. Please use the talk page to make edit requests, argue your case, and listen to feedback from other editors. I suggest you do this on all the Fantastic Beasts film pages. By the way, if you are on the spectrum – and I'm not saying you are – or if you have other difficulties, then allowances can be made to assist you. Thanks.   Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, you may be blocked from editing. Trailblazer101 (talk) 18:59, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dude, the sources say clearly that Willem Dafoe nor Ben Affleck are not in the movie. Those are reports from the CinemaCon 2023 190.21.177.84 (talk) 19:03, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Don't be so easily duped into believing what you read online, as there are several websites (such as Murphy's Multiverse which you are citing) that are determined to not be WP:Reliable sources by the Wikipedia community, as they lack either editorial oversight or credibility, often both. Dafoe was confirmed to be in the film by Wan and rampant rumors of his removal are unconfirmed. Affleck was confirmed to have shot scenes for the film, and is remains to be seen if that gets cut, per the sources present in the article. The CinemaCon trailer did not show everything, so we can't judge off of that, especially as it has not been released publicly. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:11, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

National varieties of English

edit

Hello. In a recent edit to the page Gal Gadot, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. —Wasell(T) 🌻🇺🇦 05:40, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
