Aster Data Systems

Hi, you tagged Aster Data Systems for speedy deletion. That tag got deleted by someone who may have a COI, but the content hasn't improved much. You may want to look at it again. SteveLoughran (talk) 22:05, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Leonid Chernovetskyi Bloc

Hi! I don't know if you noticed, but you speedied this article within 2 minutes of the start of work on it. That work is now on-going and the article is developing but no doubt with a sense of doom about having to defend it from infanticide. I think a little more time should be allowed to see where it's going before trying to render it stillborn, n'est pas? -- Timberframe (talk) 21:05, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

CSD nomination using criteria G1

Hi there. I noticed that you tagged the article GamePro (members) as speedy deletion per G1. Please remember that G1 is only supposed to be used for articles that are solely consist of things like: "ASHASJKASJDJKASDJKASD" - e.g, something that you cannot read. While that above article certainly was a candidate for speedy deletion, a G11 criteria (blatant advertising) would have been a better tag.

Thanks for your help in patrolling new pages though; it is very much appreciated! NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 02:39, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Media Power

Hello, I see that you have taken down my ARL, VRL, GRL and Media Power pages. I don't understand why the Media Power page that had been up for almost 2 months needed to be taken down. As for the others, They were all descriptions of new types of technology one of them even had visual proof via a you tube video. Please give me a valid explanation of your deletion of these. This process is extremely frustraiting. You even mention Media Power in the page for it's founder Carl Freer. You claim that by interning for Media Power I am bias but by completely deleting my article you are showing bias in the complete oposite direction. Please feel free to help me edit and expand on these pages. ARL, VRL, and GRL are part of new cell phone technologies and to require some explanation. I plan to re-post but I will give you a chance to respond before I do. (PeterQuain (talk) 14:09, 30 October 2008 (UTC)) - Also I am now seeing that there is no way to revive the Media Power article. I only have my first draft of it which I have reposted however I think the version you deleted that created with the help of other users was better. If you have access to that I suggest you repost it in lieu of what I have posted. (PeterQuain (talk) 14:28, 30 October 2008 (UTC))

I feel there is origin to each information in the globe, someone needs to originate about something. The person about whome I have made an entry, is significant as he can be a benchmark for community as a parent as a teacher. I am very much hopefull that other people from that town will pour relevant information, once they see this article on wikipedia. Rest depends on you as you are now the judge of moment. Since the user who put up this page is new to Wikipedia. And since, as you say, the subject is apparently notable. Perhaps you could consider taking down the AFD and posting on the new user's page some advice about how to compose an article.Historicist (talk) 23:14, 5 November 2008 (UTC)Historicist

What to do with promotional pages

When you encounter a page like Save the Swim Team, the appropriate thing to do is just to get the page deleted (such as through speedy deletion). It's a bit overzealous to try to block the user as well, and that's not what the username policy is for. Think of other policies such as vandalism, where users get many second chances.

Behind each name is a person who is likely new to Wikipedia. Once they learn what Wikipedia is for and what it's not for, they may become good contributors. Putting them through the harsh process of UAA is unnecessary and may discourage them. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 07:52, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Deletion: Cane Creek Cycling Components

Greetings, I wanted to make an inquiry regarding the speedy deletion of the article for Cane Creek Cycling Components. I understand the objections that were raised and have read the pertinent article. There are a few points that I would like to make in support of justifying a page for this subject.

My interest in creating a page for Cane Creek stems from my being a cycling enthusiast and noticing the relative inconsistency in Wikipedia representation for cycling companies. These corporate profiles serve readers and the cycling community because they provide a good informational overview about a company’s history and place in the bicycle industry. I was reading the following page about bicycle headsets -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headset_(bicycle_part) – which has 2 Cane Creek references: the photo at the top is a Cane Creek headset, and “Cane Creek” appears as a red link under the subhead “Integrated headsets.” The red link caught my attention and I thought to register and create a working Wikipedia page for Cane Creek.

In so doing, I first confirmed that other notable cycling component manufacturers were represented with Wikipedia pages. Please understand that Cane Creek is a well-known, established brand, like the following cycling companies that have pages: Shimano, SRAM Corp., Campagnolo, Suntour, Mavic, Time, Marzocchi, and Look, to name a few. I wrote the article on the basis of the tone and length of these companies’ pages.

Secondly, I understand that the references in my initial document were too circular and not up to standards. The Cane Creek website is credible but I can add new references from verifiable third-party media sources.

With the above in mind, I would like to revise and resubmit an article for Cane Creek Cycling Components. Thank you for your consideration. I am of course open to comments and direction.

Speedy deletion of Image:Mrsenseless.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Mrsenseless.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Mrsenseless.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 2, I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent Request for Adminship, which passed with 112 supports, 4 opposes and 5 neutrals. A special mention goes out to Stwalkerster and Pedro for nominating me, thanks a lot for having trust in me! In response to the neutrals, I will try to double check articles that have been tagged for speedy deletion before I CSD them and will start off slowly with the drama boards of ANI and AN to ensure that I get used to them. In response to the oppose !votes on my RfA, I will check that any images I use meet the non-free content criteria and will attempt to handle any disputes or queries as well as I can. If you need my help at all, feel free to simply ask at my talk page and I'll see if I can help. Once again, thank you for your participation, and have a great day! :) The Helpful One 22:15, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Cendrillon-viardot.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:30, 12 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mister Senseless (Speak - Contributions) 03:30, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

I wasn't aware I had a problem and I always try to assume good faith, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. In any event, I personally wouldn't consider an editor who leaves notes like this on a contributor's talk page with no prior contact to be assuming good faith or being civil. Real ugg boots

A tag has been placed on Real ugg boots, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you believe that there is a reason to keep the redirect, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
