Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Indo-Pakistani War of 1947 into History of the Republic of India. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:25, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
Welcome!
editSomnath temple pictures
editHello, I see you adding the Somnath temple pictures in multiple articles, with a long story going with them, e.g., here. This is against policy. Please stop doing it, and read WP:Images and WP:CAPTION to understand how to do it properly. Note that in this article there is already a picture of Somnath temple at the appropriate place. I am afraid your editing shows WP:SOAPBOX behaviour. I am pinging RegentsPark so that he can caution you appropriately. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:41, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- Yes indeed. If this behavior continues, you will be blocked. I'm adding a discretionary sanctions notice below FYI.--regentspark (comment) 16:02, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- I'm done with editing wiki. I might edit spelling and grammar here and there, since I am a grammar nazi. Besides that, you guys are too petty for me to continue. I'm done. (2600:1001:B003:C4E8:81F2:4A49:E50C:A4C2 (talk) 16:09, 16 September 2016 (UTC))
