editHello, I'm Random Stint. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Larry Poole (actor) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Random Stint (talk) 15:37, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Larry Poole (actor), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Just because the individual has the same name, that does not mean it is the same person. Hence, there is nothing in the source you cited to show that the person named there is the actor. —C.Fred (talk) 02:25, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- [redacted] The article from the Orlando Sentinel is him and is true. Have a nice day 2603:9001:1E00:180E:7454:6752:F826:4AC4 (talk) 04:07, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Nowhere did the Sentinel say he was an actor. —C.Fred (talk) 13:22, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Why is he trying so hard to conceal his identity? 2603:9001:1E00:180E:7454:6752:F826:4AC4 (talk) 04:11, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, 2603:9001:1E00:180E:7454:6752:F826:4AC4. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Larry Poole (actor), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Given the nature of your edits and your claims that you knew the individual in childhood, you have a clear conflict of interest with the article. —C.Fred (talk) 03:17, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
