Bde Maka Ska

The official USGS name is Bde Maka Ska. Stop adding incorrect information, you've been blocked twice already. oncamera 06:45, 25 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

My apologies: I was going by the USGS' online National Map (https://www.usgs.gov/core-science-systems/national-geospatial-program/national-map), which shows the lake as Lake Calhoun. A map held out as seemingly official by the USGS and made available for public use lists the lake as Lake Calhoun. So I took the name Lake Calhoun as the official USGS name. User: 72.66.56.186.

80% of residents living immediately around the lake prefer the name Lake Calhoun (http://www.startribune.com/i-asked-350-people-who-live-along-or-near-lake-calhoun-about-renaming-it/454350493/); I will try to reinsert this information with a more appropriate use of adjectives. Thank you! User: 72.66.56.186.

Minnesota Court of Appeals restores original name of Lake Calhoun. https://twitter.com/startribune/status/1122901283315253248 This Wikipedia entry should be under Lake Calhoun and not redirect to any different name. The legal name of the lake is Calhoun.

False. That has been discussed on the talkpage to Bde Maka Ska. If you would join in the discussion like a rational person, you wouldn't be blocked from editing. I suggest reading the past arguments that went on instead of acting like you're presenting new information. oncamera 14:49, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

About setting the name back to Lake Calhoun

edit

Please stop trying to change the name of the lake. The case is still in the courts since there is an appeal, so the ruling is not final. At some point the case will be settled and any changes needed can happen then. StarryGrandma (talk) 14:07, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Seconded. The naming dispute is already chronicled at Bde Maka Ska, and has clearly not been settled yet. If you continue to change the name as you did here, you will be reblocked for a longer period. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:26, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
