- Plantsurfer, I would strongly argue that adding (450 lb) after 2000 newton is constructive, i.e. helpful to understanding the article. Every other measurement in this section has the imperial unit conversion after the metric value except the force required to crack the shell. Of all the units on the page, the newton is only one that I cannot approximate an english unit for in my head. The first thing that I thought of is how much force is 2000 newtons. Well, it is about 450 pounds - two large peolpe would have to stand on it to break the shell. please revert you undo.
