Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I'm not in an edit war. I'm correcting misinformation being spread by an Armenian nationalist who edits from his perspective and uses his ideologies to spread misinformation and overexaggarate anything that has to do with Turks. Look at his contribution history, the whople list is full with him overexaggarating Turkish actions, spreading misinformation and reverting any correction of minsinformation with the excuse "WP:GS/AA". WP:GS/AA is made so that new editors don't spread minsinformation, not that bigger editors use their rights to actually do it and oppress and silence newer editors 79.219.145.21 (talk) 17:05, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also, the guy whose misinformation I'm correcting, made 17 edits in just 23 minutes on the same topic, almost all of them with the excuse "you violated WS:GS/AA". He did nothing but revert edits that contain sources, explanation etc. without any explanation and the same excuse. He used his rights various times to spread his nationalist views, yet I don't see anything on his talk page 79.219.145.21 (talk) 17:11, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm Cowboygilbert. I noticed that you recently removed content from White genocide (Armenians) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. I already explöained why LITERALLY 2 TIMES 79.219.145.21 (talk) 17:47, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please read WP:GS/AA, you're not allowed to edit those articles per the link. HistoryofIran (talk) 18:00, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then change the articles yourselves, you all stand there looking at some guy using his rights to spread misinformation. I already named all the reasons as to why I reverted those edits. WP:GS/AA was made so that new editors don't spread misinformation, most times it's used the other way around with bigger editors spreading misinformation and oppressing newer ones. 79.219.145.21 (talk) 18:03, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. In addition, only extended-confirmed users may make edits to articles related to Armenia and Azerbaijan, and any edits by non-extended-confirmed users will be reverted. If you wish to request an edit, you may post a request on the article's talk page. Thank you for your attention.

Extended confirmed restrictions

edit

Please be aware that all articles related to politics, ethnic relations, and conflicts involving Armenia, Azerbaijan, or both—broadly construed and explicitly including the Armenian genocide—are subject to an extended confirmed restriction. KhndzorUtogh (talk) 18:17, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

You're literally pushing your nationalist agenda and spreading misinformation with the same excuse that I "violate WP:GS/AA" 79.219.145.21 (talk) 18:33, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
You don't seem to understand that you're not allowed to edit these topics, and you're now using a different IP to hound me and violate policies in the process. KhndzorUtogh (talk) 18:35, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh so correcting misinformation is now a violation? Then stop postring that misinformation and pushing your nationalist agenda, your whole contribution page is full of you doing that. 79.219.145.21 (talk) 18:37, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I didn't do an edit war. I reverted misinformation and pushing agenda's, after being told to not do so I stopped from doing it and talked about those exact matters in the talk page of each article, didn't get any response. I am sorry for violating WP:GS/AA and I'll try to refrain from it, however it's not fair that users with more edits get to spread misinformation, whe nWP:GS/AA was made to stop new editors from doing that. 79.219.145.21 (talk) 18:56, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You are blocked for treating Wikipedia as a battleground, and this post does nothing to convince me that you will cease doing so. 331dot (talk) 19:12, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

No, I didn't use Wikipedia as a battlefield. I never insulted any user, harassed any user or intimidated anyone. I reverted edits that were clear misinformation, after being told to stop that though, I did so and talked about the articles i ntheir talk pages, to not violate WP:GS/AA, this block has no real reason as I stopped violating after being told so and didn't use Wikipedia as a battleground either. Maybe I don't clearly understand what a battleground is, but from wha tI understand, I didn't do any of those 3 things listed and if battleground is something else and I actually did it, the nI am sincerely sorry for doing that and will refrain from doing so in the future. 79.219.145.21 (talk) 20:47, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You clearly don't have a clue about WP:BATTLEGROUND. The block definitely needs to remain in place. You'll need to stay far, far away from editing about Armenia, Azerbaijan, or both once the block expires. Yamla (talk) 23:11, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
