editHello, I'm ExclusiveEditor. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Ru (novel) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Ru (novel). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The video you are citing is private, so useless. ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 14:59, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- I was the person that did all the recent edits to the article (October 2023). I was simply unsure about how to phrase the last paragraph (and whether to report other details from the linked talk).
- As for the next to last paragraph, which contained the link to the video, the video was present in the previous iteration that I had modified. I had removed it because I thought that it pointed to a broken link, but I saw that this was not the case. However, as you said, the video is private. Not sure what would be the best manner to proceed, since removing the whole phrase means removing also the point about the different way the book was received by different nationalities. 93.35.146.108 (talk) 15:08, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi 93.35.146.108! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Ru (novel) several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Ru (novel), please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Your video is private, not ACCESIBLE.. ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 15:02, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Just to be clear, I was the person that made all the recent (October 2023) edits in the first place.
- The video was present in the previous iteration that I had modified. I had removed it because I thought that it pointed to a broken link, but I saw that this was not the case. However, as you said, the video is private. Not sure what would be the best manner to proceed, since removing the whole phrase means removing also the point about the different way the book was received by different nationalities.
- Regarding the subsequent paragraph, I tried thinking about how to better phrase it to reflect the content of the interview, but in the end reverted my changes because I was not sure about how relevant they were (i.e. whether it made sense to report everything that was said in the interview). 93.35.146.108 (talk) 15:06, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
